TheGEN 3 can be run on “Auto” mode; if the mode is set to "Auto"the unitwill cycle on and off to maintain the desired temperature setting. Itis also equipped with a “HIGH” mode; if the mode is set to"High"theunit will stay on Full power at the highest heat setting and keepheating. It will not cycle off on "High" mode.
When the GEN3 is set on the “Auto” mode and cycling off and on, ithas been equippedwith an Energy Savings feature. The unit will run on full power untilit gets to within 2 degrees of the desired temperature.At this point itwill automatically go into an energy savings mode which shuts down 2 ofthe heating elements and lowers the fan speed.Not only will this saveenergy, it also keeps the room temperature closer to the desiredtemperature. If the room temperature should fall below 2 degrees theunit will return to the full power mode until the desired temperatureis reached again.
